How one book is made
Choose the leather, cut it, sew the pages. One person makes each piece from start to finish.

Choosing the leather
We use vegetable-tanned leather certified by the Italian Vera Pelle association — tanned with plant materials, with chemical processing kept down.
Every hide takes colour differently. So each time we cut a cover, we look again at which part to use.
Cutting and stamping
It is natural leather with coating kept to a minimum. Nothing covers the surface, so the cut edge and the grain stay visible.
Inside we press a stamp. It reads “Camel & Tiger — Handmade Leather Craft”.
Binding the note
Each note is sewn by hand, one at a time.
The paper is 93gsm in a warm off-white. We chose it for the way ink stays on the page instead of bleeding through.
We make two rulings: dot and plain.
Packing
We pack each order with care, so that opening it feels like receiving a gift.
